We are seeking a talented junior PHP Developer with a strong focus on frontend to join our dynamic team in Greece. As a frontend PHP developer you will be part of our Moodle devops squad for implementing online learning platforms. You will be involved in every stage of our agile devops process, from conceptualisation, prototyping, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and supporting our products with our customers. This role requires both strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an international team.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the UI/UX team to bind user-facing elements with server-side logic
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize frontend performance
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team as well as with Eummena’s clients to analyse new features and arrive at an optimal solution for their implementation
  • Debug and continuously improve code, collaborating with the devops team with git-based commits and merge reviews
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise

Must Have

  • Experience as a PHP developer of at least 2 years, preferably attested by contributions to Github repos
  • Strong proficiency in Javascript, JQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, CSS, and SASS
  • Experience with frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular)
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
  • Perfect English, both verbal and written
  • Fast learner, comfortable working in a highly agile, competitive, and distributed team
  • Valid work permit for Greece

Nice to have

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar disciplines
  • Experience in basic Linux shell commands
  • Experience with Moodle, including development of new plugins
  • Experience in e-learning with Moodle specialization
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles
  • Knowledge of Arabic, Dutch, or French (verbal and written)
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and an inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility
